THIS PROGRAM WAS LAUNCHED TO HELP FAMILIES FROM ABROAD THAT ARE IN THE UNITED STATES DUE TO SERIOUS ILLNESS. WHEN A LOCAL FAMILY GENEROUSLY AGREES TO SUPPORT A GUEST FAMILY WITH WEEKLY FUNDS, ADOPT A FAMILY FACILITATES THE TRANSFER OF THESE FUNDS FROM SPONSOR FAMILY TO RECIPIENT FAMILY. THIS ENABLES GUEST FAMIILIAS TO PAY FOR ANY OF THEIR GENERAL NEEDS WHILE THEY ARE ABROAD.
