The Federation is affiliated with the Washington State Labor Council, AFL-CIO, and assists and represents local unions of teachers in the state of Washington in labor relations issues, organizes new units of teachers and other education professionals, initiates and supports state legislation beneficial to education, and is active in informing the community.
