AAN EXISTS TO HELP ITS MEMBERS GROW AND FLOURISH. ACCORDINGLY, THE ASSOCIATION WILL WORK TO:1. PROMOTE EDITORIAL EXCELLENCE AMONG ITS MEMBERS;2. FACILITATE ACCESS TO INFORMATION TO ENABLE MEMBER PUBLICATIONS TO RAISE THEIR LEVEL OF JOURNALISM AND BUSINESS PERFORMANCE;3. SUPPORT THE MARKETING AND ADVERTISING EFFORTS OF MEMBER PUBLICATIONS;4. INCREASE AWARENESS OF THE ALTERNATIVE MEDIA; AND5. ADVOCATE THE INTERESTS OF THE MEDIA INDUSTRY.
