THE PURPOSE OF THE BAR ASSOCIATION OF THE FIFTH FEDERAL CIRCUIT (THE BAR ASSOCIATION) IS TO PROVIDE A NEWSLETTER TO IMPROVE AND FACILITATE THE ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE IN THE FEDERAL COURTS WITHIN THE GEOGRAPHIC AREA OF THE UNITED STATES COURT OF APPEALS FOR THE FIFTH CIRCUIT. THE BAR ASSOCIATION ASSISTS, AS REQUESTED BY THE JUDICIARY OF THE UNITED STATES COURT OF APPEALS FOR THE FIFTH CIRCUIT, IN THE HOLDING OF THE ANNUAL FIFTH CIRCUIT JUDICIAL CONFERENCE, IN PROPOSING QUALIFIED PERSONS FOR MEMBERSHIP ON THE STATUTORY ATTORNEY ADVISORY COMMITTEE, AND IN OTHER WAYS AS MAY BE REQUESTED. THE BAR ASSOCIATION SPONSORS AN ANNUAL SEMINAR CALLED "ANNUAL APPELLATE ADVOCACY SEMINAR OF THE FEDERAL FIFTH CIRCUIT. THE BAR ASSOCIATION NOW HAS A DAILY EMAIL SYNOPSIS OF CASES DECIDED BY THE COURT FOR ALL ITS MEMBERS.
