TO PROMOTE THE EDUCATION, INTEREST, AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN ALL AREAS OF AVIATION, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO MILITARY AND CIVILIAN AVIATION, AVIATION TECHNOLOGY, TYPES OF AIRCRAFT, AIRCRAFT PERFORMANCE AND CAPABILITY, AIRSHOW ACTS, AIRCRAFT ADMINISTRATIONS, STATIC DISPLAYS OF AIRCRAFT AND RELATED MILITARY AND CIVILIAN EQUIPMENT, PRIMARILY THROUGH AN BIENNIAL AIRSHOW TO BE CARRIED OUT AT CHENNAULT INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, WHICH BEARS THE NAME OF THE LATE GENERAL CLAIRE CHENNAULT, LEADER OF THE VOLUNTEER FORCE OF AMERICANS KNOWN AS THE FLYING TIGERS PRIOR TO WORLD WAR II; AND TO CELEBRATE THE AREAS RICH AVIATION HERITAGE BY STAGING A PREMIER PUBLIC EVENT THAT SHOWCASES AIRCRAFT AND RELATED SERVICES, PROMOTES TOURISM, AND THANKS THE COMMUNITY FOR ITS SUPPORT.
