THE MISSION OF THE CHINESE ASSOCIATION OF SALINAS IS TO LEAD AND REPRESENT THE CHINESE COMMUNITY IN VARIOUS CITYWIDE EVENTS AND PROJECTS; TO PROVIDE FOR THE WELFARE AND HAPPINESS OF THE CHINESE COMMUNITY BY SPONSORING AND SUPPORTING NONPROFIT ACTIVITIES THAT FOSTER FRIENDSHIP, FAMILY VALUES, CHINESE TRADITIONS, CULTURAL HERITAGE, CHARITY, AND GOODWILL; TO OPERATE AND MAINTAIN A CHINESE SCHOOL FOR EDUCATING AND INSTRUCTING SALINAS AREA CHINESE CHILDREN; AND TO MAINTAIN THE CHINESE CEMETERY FOR HONORING OUR ANCESTORS.
