CHURCH STREET SCHOOL FOR MUSIC AND ART PROVIDES PROCESS-ORIENTED ART AND MUSIC EDUCATION TO STUDENTS OF ALL AGES. OUR AFFORDABLE PROGRAMS SERVE A RANGE OF SOCIALLY, CULTURALLY, AND ECONOMICALLY DIVERSE COMMUNITIES. WE ARE THE ONLY NOT-FOR-PROFIT COMMUNITY-BASED SCHOOL FOR THE ARTS IN LOWER MANHATTAN. CHURCH STREET SCHOOL IS DEDICATED TO THE IDEA THAT INDIVIDUAL EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL DISCOVERY FOSTER CREATIVE THINKING AND CONFIDENCE. THE GOAL IS ALWAYS TO GIVE EXPRESSION TO A STUDENT'S NATURAL MUSICAL AND ARTISTIC SENSIBILITY THROUGH DIRECT PHYSICAL PARTICIPATION AND HANDS-ON CREATION, WHILE PROVIDING A STRONG FOUNDATION IN TECHNIQUE AND THEORY.
