THE CRESCENT CLUB IS A LOUISIANA NON-PROFIT CORPORATION THAT IS A SOCIAL ORGANIZATION FORMED FOR THE PURPOSES OF PRESENTING AN ANNUAL MARDI GRAS PARADE AND BALL IN NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA. EACH YEAR MEMBERS OF THE CRESCENT CLUB RIDE ON FLOATS AND HORSES FORMING A THEMED PARADE. AS THE PARADE PROCEEDS THROUGH THE STREETS OF NEW ORLEANS, THE FLOAT RIDERS THROW BEADS, MINTED ALUMINUM COINS, CUPS AND OTHER TRINKETS TO THE CITIZENS OF AND VISITORS TO NEW ORLEANS. FOLLOWING THE PARADE, THE MEMBERS GATHER FOR A BALL, WHERE THE COURT IS PRESENTED AND DANCING ENSUES. THE PARADE AND BALL OCCUR EACH YEAR ON THE EVENING PRIOR TO MARDI GRAS DAY. ADDITIONALLY, THE CLUB HAS A DINNER EACH FALL AND A LUNCHEON BEFORE THE PARADE FOR ITS MEMBERS.
