THE PURPOSES OF PROMOTING THE SPORT OF BASKETBALL AMONG THE YOUTH IN THE EAST GREENWICH COMMUNITY, TEACHING YOUTH FUNDAMENTAL BASKETBALL SKILLS IN A POSITIVE ENVIRONMENT OF SPORTSMANSHIP AND TEAMWORK, ORGANIZING YOUTH BASKETBALL TEAMS AND LEAGUES AND ENHANCING THE QUALITY OF CHILDREN'S LIVES BY PROMOTING PHYSICAL ACTIVITY THROUGH BASKETBALL. THEY OFFER OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUTHS TO PARTICIPATE IN-HOUSE AND/OR TRAVEL TEAMS. THEY ALSO HOLD AN ANNUAL HOLIDAY OPEN TOURNAMENT DURING MARTIN LUTHER KING WEEKEND.
