THE ORGANIZATION'S PROGRAM SERVICES FOCUS ON CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION THROUGH PARENT EDUCATION AND SUPPORT TO AVOID THE OCCURENCE OF CRISIS IN THE HOME. THESE SERVICES ARE ACCOMPLISHED BY PROVIDING A COMPREHENSIVE ARRAY OF EDUCATIONAL AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES TO FAMILIES AND CHILD CARE PROVIDERS INCLUDING CHILD DEVELOPMENTAL SCREENINGS, HOME VISITATIONS, AND LINKAGE TO COMMUNITY RESOURCES. THIS PROGRAMMING FOSTERS HEALTHY FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS, IMPROVES HEALTH AND OTHER CHILDHOOD OUTCOMES, REDUCES THE RISK OF ABUSE AND NEGLECT, AND PREPARES CHILDREN FOR PRODUCTIVE LIVES. CURRENT PROGRAMS INCLUDE PARENTING GROUPS, HEALTHY FAMILIES AMERICA HOME VISITING PROGRAM, PARENTS AS TEACHERS HOME VISITING PROGRAM, INFANT INJURY PREVENTION AND HEALTH PROMOTION PROJECT, FATHERHOOD INITIATIVE/FATHER'S GROUPS, PARENT LEADERSHIP TRAINING, AND ALUMNI SUPPORT.
