THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES THIS VOLUNTEER SERVICE ON A 24-HOUR BASIS.THE INCORPORATED VILLAGE OF FARMINGDALE PROVIDES BASIC OPERATING NEEDS AND FINANCES. ADDITIONAL FUNDS ARE SOLICITED FROM THE GENERAL PUBLIC TO PROVIDE FOR TRAINING, ACCESSORY EQUIPMENT, INSURANCE, COMPETITION, DRILLS AND THE GENERAL WELFARE OF THE FIRE COMPANIES, BRIGADES AND SQUADS. THESE FUNDS ARE SOLICITED TO PROVIDE THOSE ITEMS NECESSARY TO THE OPERATION OF A VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY THAT ARE NOT PROVIDED FOR BY THE VILLAGE.THE ORGANIZATION DOES ITS OWN SOLICITING AND DOES NOT USE ANY OUTSIDE AGENCIES TO ASSIST.
