The Land Trust carries out its mission by creating a legacy of protected lands either by purchasing property outright or by acquiring conservation easements. The organization then provides stewardship of these protected lands. The organization also provides outreach programs that inform people of all ages about the importance of local flora and fauna, natural systems, cultural heritage, and related human well being. Funding is provided through a combination of donations, grants, and membership dues.
