THE OBJECTIVES OF FORT KENT HISTORICAL SOCIETY (FKHS) IS TO DISCOVER AND COLLECT ALL MATERIALS THAT HELP TO ESTABLISH AND ILLUSTRATE THE HISTORY, CULTURE AND TRADITIONAL ARTS OF FORT KENT, MAINE. WE SERVE PEOPLE OF ALL AGES THAT COME TO TOUR OUR MUSEUM FACILITIES. FOUNDED IN 1925 BY PAUL D THIBODEAU THE FORT KENT HISTORICAL SOCIETY IS AGGRESSIVELY COLLECTING CULTURAL MATERIALS OF THE GREATER FORT KENT AREA. WE HAVE HUGE PHOTO COLLECTIONS, SCRAPBOOKS, ORAL HISTORIES, DOCUMENTS AND BOOKS THAT WE USE TO DISSEMINATE OUR HISTORY WITH EXHIBITS AND DISPLAYS WE COMBINE ALL THESE ELEMENTS TO PROVIDE INFORMATIVE AND ACCURATE INTERPRETATION OF OUR CULTURE.
