RESIDENTS RECEIVE LIVING AND SELF-HELP SKILLS TRAINING TO ENABLE THEM TO LIVE INDEPENDENTLY WITHIN THE COMMUNITY. SECTION 202 LOAN FUNDS WERE OBTAINED FROM THE FEDERAL HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT AGENCY (HUD). IN ADDITION TO THE LOAN, HUD PROVIDES RENTAL SUPPLEMENTS FOR THE RESIDENTS AND REQUIRES THE RESIDENTS TO PAY A RENTAL AMOUNT. THE RESIDENT'S RENT APPROXIMATES 30% OF THE RESIDENT'S ADJUSTED INCOME OR IS A FLAT RENTAL FEE DETERMINED BY HUD.
