TO FURTHER THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE CITY OF HAZEN AND THE SURROUNDING BUSINESS/TRADE AREA, BY PROMOTING, ENCOURAGING AND ASSISTING IN THE DEVELOPMENT IN NEW ENTERPRISE, OR THE EXPANSION OR CONTINATION OF THOSE PRESENTLY EXISTING, IN ORDER TO BENEFIT THE CITIZENS OF SUCH AREA, THROUGH THE ENLARGEMENT OF BUSINESS ACTIVITY, THE EXPANSION OF AVAILABLE GOODS AND SERVICES, AND INCREASING EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES.
