THE HOUMAS HOUSE FOUNDATION IS ORGANIZED AND SHALL BE OPERATED TO DEVELOP AND OPERATE ONE OR MORE MUSEUMS THAT SEEK TO INCREASE PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE GREAT STEAMBOATS THAT DOMINATED THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER AND THE MARITIME INDUSTRY IN THE 19TH AND EARLY 20TH CENTURIES.
