THE INDEPENDENT FILM & TELEVISION ALLIANCE SHALL SERVE AS A TRADE ASSOCIATION WHOSE MISSION IS TO PROMOTE, PROTECT, AND SUPPORT THE INDEPENDENT FILM AND TELEVISION INDUSTRY, WHICH CONSISTS OF THOSE COMPANIES THAT ARE IN THE BUSINESS OF PRODUCING AND/OR REPRESENTING FILMS AND/OR TELEVISION PROGRAMMING AND LICENSING SUCH PROGRAMMING FOR DISTRIBUTION WORLDWIDE PRIMARILY THROUGH THIRD PARTY DISTRIBUTORS AND PLATFORMS. IT SHALL ACHIEVE ITS OBJECTIVES AND PURPOSE BY ENGAGING IN PUBLIC ADVOCACY TO ADVANCE THE BUSINESS INTERESTS AND EXPAND THE MARKETPLACE OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE INDEPENDENT FILM AND TELEVISION INDUSTRY WORLDWIDE; BY CONDUCTING TRADE SHOWS RELATING TO THE THEATRICAL MOTION PICTURE AND TELEVISION INDUSTRY, INCLUDING THE ANNUAL AMERICAN FILM MARKET ("AFM"); AND BY DELIVERING SERVICES AND PROGRAMS THAT ARE CONSISTENT WITH ITS MISSION AND NOT OTHERWISE AVAILABLE TO ITS MEMBERS.
