Mission

The James Merrill House Foundation will establish, maintain, and, as appropriate, expend funds from an endowment and raise, use, and administer other funds and assets to further the legacy of James Merrill, one of America's great poets, to preserve and make use of the James Merrill House at 107 Water Street, Stonington, Connecticut and its contents (the "James Merrill House"), and to preserve, create, and promote programs and assets related to literature, the humanities, James Merrill, and the James Merrill House.
