THE JEWISH SCHOLASTIC PRESS ASSOCIATION WAS FOUNDED IN 2013 FOR THE PURPOSE OF OFFERING STUDENT JOURNALISTS IN JEWISH HIGH SCHOOLS A WAY TO LEARN AND CONNECT AROUND JEWISH- AND ISRAEL-RELATED NEWS AND FEATURE COVERAGE, WHILE ALSO LOOKING AT NEWS MEDIA THROUGH A LENS OF JEWISH ETHICS BASED ON PRINCIPLES FOUND IN THE TORAH. IT TEACHES TOP-LEVEL JOURNALISM SKILLS, SUPPORTS AND DEVELOPS MEDIA IN SCHOOLS WHERE THEY ARE NOT YET PRESENT, AND OPERATES A WEBSITE THAT RE-PUBLISHES THE BEST WORK FROM MEMBER SCHOOLS.
