The purpose of this Corporation shall be to provide support to the Kern County Department of Human Services to provide for non-funded approved activities or projects that serve in meeting the Department's vision to assure that every family, child and individual is healthy, safe and self-sufficient. This will be done by:(a) Providing funding through Grants for scholarships to support youth and parenting programs such as Cal-Learn (Parenting and Pregnant Teens) and YES (Youth Enhancement Services).(b) Providing incentives to participants in various youth and parenting programs such as Cal-Learn, YES, and youth involved in truancy program.(c) Providing non-funded services and programs to participants in various projects such as the Independent Living Program, Jamison Children's Center. parent education programs for families in need, and any other project that serves to assist the Department of Human Services in Kern County.(d) Providing contributions to worthy causes such as toys for chil
