LA Voz's mission: LA Voz works to improve the quality of life in the Latin communities of Louisiana by preventing youth substance abuse through culturally competent leadership, advocacy, research, education and citizenship. LA Voz is an agency focused on prevention and has expertise in conducting various mental and behavioral health initiatives following an evidence-based strategic planning model aimed to make community-level change. LA Voz's prevention programming works in mainly Spanish-speaking settings and is designed to build protection in the lives of Latinos while reducing risk of harm from substance abuse, trauma, anxiety, stress, and other behavioral health issues.
