Light Industry Cinema Projects promotes cinema as an art form through the presentation of events in New York City at our dedicated space and other spaces, publishing, and assistance to select film productions. The goal of the organization is to bring together otherwise disparate artistic communities, including filmmaking, the art world, academia and music, by working with notable curators, artists and writers. Our programming includes screenings, lectures, and performances, with a central theme of the art of the moving image in all its forms. Our organization publicizes and promotes each week's event through press releases, a website, mailing list and other forms of online marketing. We also have initiated an internship program in which college students and recent graduates can learn about the practice of film and art exhibition.
