THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO PROMOTE AND ADVANCE AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROJECTS FOR LOW INCOME RESIDENTS OF THE CITY OF LINCOLN AND/OR LANCASTER AND SAUNDERS COUNTIES, NEBRASKA, BY PARTICIPATING IN THE ACQUISITION, CONSTRUCTION, REHABILITATION AND RENOVATION OF ONE OR MORE LOW INCOME HOUSING PROJECTS; TO PROVIDE AND IMPROVE LIVING CONDITIONS FOR LOW INCOME RESIDENTS OF THE ABOVE AREAS BY MAKING AVAILABLE AFFORDABLE RENTS TO PERSONS OF LOW INCOME, THROUGH RENT SUBSIDY PROGRAMS; TO HOLD TITLE TO CERTAIN DWELLING ACCOMMODATIONS AND REAL ESTATE WITHIN THE SERVICE AREA AND TO LEASE SUCH PROPERTIES TO LOW INCOME RESIDENTS; TO BUY, OWN, SELL, ASSIGN, MORTGAGE OR LEASE ANY INTEREST IN REAL ESTATE AND PERSONAL PROPERTY, AND TO CONSTRUCT, MAINTAIN, AND OPERATE IMPROVEMENTS THEREON NECESSARY OR INCIDENTAL TO THE ACCOMPLISHMENT OF THE CHARITABLE PURPOSES OF THE ORGANIZATION.
