Mission
LOCAL 205 IS A DAY CARE EMPLOYEES UNION. THE UNION IS AFFILIATED WITH AFSCME DISCTRICT COUNCIL 37 (PREVIOUSLY WITH DISTRICT COUNCIL 1707) WHOSE PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE ITS MEMBERS WITH COLLECTIVE BARGAINING, NEGOTIATION ARBRITRATION AND OTHER REPRESENTATIONS ON BEHLAF OF ITS MEMBERS. IN ADDITION, THE UNIONS DELETATES ATTENDS VARIOUS CONFERENCES THROUGHOUT THE STATES TO PROVIDE ITS MEMBERS WITH THE LATEST NEWS AND ADVANCES IN THE DAY CARE REGULATIONS AND LAWS.
