Priest River Event Center was originally built by Wilbur and Carolee Merritt to be an affordable event and meeting resource for the Priest River Community and surrounding area. The Event Center has been host to weddings, funerals, city leadership, chamber meetings; along with various community events such as corporate parties, and area school dances. The Merritt and Janhsen Families wish to continue the general operation of the event center as a Non Profit with the same outreach and resource for the community as it has in the past. Becoming a non-profit will allow for other members of the community to donate to the event center; further insuring it remains a valuable and affordable resource for the community.
