PROVIDES SUPPORT SERVICES TO FAMILIES WHO ARE OR MAY BE TOUCHED BY THE TRAGEDY OF SUDDEN INFANT DEATH SYNDROME, SUDDEN UNEXPLAINED INFANT DEATH AND ANY OTHER INFANT LOSS. THE ALLIANCE ALSO PROVIDES TRAINING AND EDUCATION FROM CURRENT EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICES ON SIDS, SUID, AND A SAFE SLEEP ENVIRONMENT TO PARENTS, PROFESSIONALS, CAREGIVERS, AND LOW SOCIOECONOMIC COMMUNITIES/INDIVIDUALS, AND TO THE DISADVANTAGED HIGH RISK POPULATIONS. THE MISSISSIPPI SIDS AND INFANT ALLIANCE ALSO SUPPORT RESEARCH TO HELP ELIMINATE SUDDEN INFANT DEATH.
