We exist to combat poverty and deprivation by encouraging and expanding opportunities for economic and community development and by promoting housing development and ownership opportunities for community-based organizations, including the corporation, and for persons of low and moderate income, and otherwise to combat community deterioration and reduce neighborhood tensions through various means.
