THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE CORPORATION IS TO PROMOTE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BY DIRECTING ITS ACTIVITIES TOWARD IMPROVING THE SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CONDITIONS OF UNDERSERVED PEOPLE, INCLUDING RESIDENTS OF ECONOMICALLY DISTRESSED COMMUNITIES, LOW-INCOME PERSONS AND OTHER UNDERSERVED PERSONS WHO LACK ADEQUATE ACCESS TO CAPITAL AND FINANCIAL SERVICES.
