THE NYC MIDDLE SCHOOL BASKETBALL LEAGUE IS A NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANIZATION. THE NYCMSBL ORGANIZES DIVISIONS, CREATES TEAM SCHEDULES, RUNS EVENTS AND TOURNAMENTS FOR NYC YOUTHS. THE MISSION OF THE NEW YORK CITY MIDDLE SCHOOL BASKETBALL LEAGUE IS TO PROVIDE A SAFE ENVIRONMENT WHERE MIDDLE SCHOOL CHILDREN CAN DEVELOP THEIR ATHELTIC AND ACADEMIC SKILLS.THE COMPETITIVE PROGRAM IS ALSO DESIGNED TO BUILD POSITIVE CHARACTER TRAITS THROUGH BASKETBALL. THE LEAGUE GOAL IS TO CREATE A GREAT STUDENT OUTT OF EVERY ATHLETE THROUGH STRICT ACADEMIC AND BEHAVIOR CODES.
