THE PURPOSE OF THE ASSOCIATION IS TO PROMOTE HIGHER STANDARDS OF LIVING THROUGH BETTER WORKING CONDITIONS AND HIGHER PAY, TO PROMOTE ESPRIT DE CORPS AMONG MEMBERS OF THE OCEANSIDE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND THE OCEANSIDE HARBOR DISTRICT, TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO MEMBERS, TO PROMOTE AN IMPROVING RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE ASSOCIATION AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC, AND TO WORK FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF A FAIR AND SECURE RETIREMENT AND PERSONNEL SYSTEM FOR ALL MEMBERS OF THE ASSOCIATION.
