THE OSSINING HISTORICAL SOCIETY AND MUSEUM INC WAS ORIGINALLY ORGANIZED IN 1931 AS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION WITH THE FOLLOWING OBJECTIVES: TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN THE HISTORY AND TRADITIONS OF OSSINING AND VICINITY. TO RECEIVE AND MAINTAIN A COLLECTION OF BOOKS, MANUSCRIPTS, PICTURES, HISTORICAL RECORDS, RELICS AND OTHER MEMORIALS BEARING UPON LOCAL AND GENERAL HISTORY.
