THE INSTITUTE'S BOARD OF DIRECTORS ORGANIZES MEETINGS OF PROFESSIONALS WITH SIMILAR BUSINESS INTERESTS. THE MEETINGS ARE TYPICALLY HELD ONCE PER YEAR IN LAS VEGAS, NEVADA. THE INSTITUTE ALLOCATES 100 PERCENT OF THE INSTITUTE'S TIME TO ORGANIZING AND CONDUCTING THE MEETINGS. THE MEETINGS ARE FUNDED THROUGH PAYMENTS MADE BY MEETING SPONSORSHIPS AND ATTENDEES OF THE MEETINGS, AND 90 TO 95 PERCENT OF THE INSTITUTE'S OVERALL EXPENSES ARE ALLOCATED TO THIS ACTIVITY. THE MEETINGS ENABLE THE INSTITUTE AND ATTENDEES TO SHARE KNOWLEDGE AND INFORMATION AND TO FURTHER THEIR EDUCATION RELEVANT TO INTERNAL AUDIT DIRECTORS IN THE REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY.
