THE STATED MISSION OF THE ROYAL ESQUIRE CLUB SINCE 1948 HAS BEEN TO PRESERVE AN AFRICAN AMERICAN VENUE WHERE THE UNIQUE ATTRIBUTES OF THE AFRICAN AMERICAN COMMUNITY THROUGH ARTISTIC POETIC ORAL EXPPRESION ARE CELEBRATED AND USED AS A CATALYST TO BUILD COMMUNITY.
