School Personnel Commissioners

Mission

In furtherance of the organization's purpose of supporting merit districts and county offices of education in Northern California, the organization provideseducational and professional development opportunities via in-person and virtual conferences on a year-round basis, which are organized by theorganization's Board of Directors. Presentations are typically made by merit districts and county offices, law firms and other practitioners knowledgeableabout the Merit System in California. Organizations such as CSEA and other classified employee groups, for whom the Merit System is intended toprotect, are also included in these educational conferences, as well as appointed Personnel Commissioners and Personnel Directors and other important Personnel Department staff members.
