THE MISSION OF THE ST. DAVID'S SOCIETY OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK IS MULTI-FOLD. ITS FIRST GOAL IS TO PRESERVE THE COMMON HERITAGE AND CULTURE OF ALL WELSH-AMERICANS, BINDING THEM EVER CLOSER TO THEIR HOME COUNTRY, WALES.ITS SECOND GOAL IS TO ADVANCE WELSH AND WELSH-AMERICAN STUDENTS IN ALL FIELDS OF STUDY WITH THE AWARDING OF ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIPS. BEGUN IN 1980, THE ST. DAVID'S SOCIETY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM HAS DISTRIBUTED THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO VARIOUS STUDENTS.
