THE INAUGURAL PROJECT OF THE ST. JAMES COMMUNITY FOUNDATION IS TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE OF HOMELESSNESS AMONGST YOUTH AGING OUT OF THE FOSTER CARE SYSTEM. THIS POPULATION IS GROSSLY UNDER-SERVED AN NEEDS TO HAVE HOUSING OPTION WITHIN THE COUNTY THEY LIVE IN SO THAT THEIR LIVES WILL NOT BE FURTHER DISRUPTED BY HAVING TO LOCATE HOUSING AND START OVER IN A COUNTY THEY ARE UNFAMILIAR WITH. WE HAVE THEREFORE, EMBARKED ON A PROJECT TO BUILD A SMALL RESIDENTIAL VILLAGE TO ASSIST IN THE ALLEVIATION OF HOMELESSNESS FOR THE POPULATION.
