STONY BROOK YACHT CLUB, INC. WAS ORGANIZED TO ENCOURAGE THE SPORTS OF YACHTING AND BOATING, PROMOTE THE SCIENCE OF SEAMANSHIP AND NAVIGATION, AND TO PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN A SUITABLE CLUBHOUSE AND ANCHORAGE FOR THE RECREATION AND USE OF ITS MEMBERS.
