ALUMNI & FRIENDS OF LAGUARDIA HS OF MUSIC AND ART & PERFORMING ARTS (A&F) MISSION IS TO CONTINUE AND ENHANCE THE WORLD-CLASS ARTS EDUCATION AT LAGUARDIA BY PROVIDING FUNDS TO THE ALL STUDIOS (ART, DANCE, DRAMA, MUSIC, AND TECHNICAL THEATER); TO ENSURE THAT ALL STUDENTS, REGARDLESS OF FAMILY INCOME, CAN SUCCESSFULLY PURSUE THEIR TALENTS THROUGH SEVERAL AWARD AND SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS; FUNDS TO THE STUDIO CURRENT NEEDS, AND TO KEEP ALUMNI CONNECTED WITH EACH OTHER AND THE SCHOOL THROUGH NEWSLETTERS, A WEBSITE, AND REUNIONS.FUNDS TO THE SCHOOL AND ITS STUDENTS COME FROM A&F'S $15.9 MILLION ENDOWMENT CREATED BY GENEROUS DONORS. PROCEEDS FROM THIS ENDOWMENT PROVIDE $500,000 IN FUNDING, FOR SCHOLARSHIP AND OUR ARTS PROGRAMS. A&F'S GOAL IS TO GROW THIS ENDOWMENT FURTHER TO PROVIDE EVEN MORE ASSISTANCE, PARTICULARLY AS THE SCHOOL FACES FURTHER BUDGET CUTS AND ITS NEEDS ARE GREATER THAN EVER.
