THE APPEAL IS A NONPROFIT NEWSROOM THAT EDUCATES THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE HARMS OF THE CRIMINAL LEGAL SYSTEM. WE EQUIP PEOPLE WITH THE INFORMATION NECESSARY TO MAKE CHANGE AND ELEVATE SOLUTIONS THAT EMERGE FROM THE COMMUNITIES MOST AFFECTED BY POLICING, JAILS, AND PRISONS.
