THE PRIMARY MISSION OF THE COMMUNITY SURVIVAL CENTER IS THE EMERGENCY FOOD PANTRY AND ITS RELATED FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS. THE CENTER IS RESPONSIBLE TO THEIR DONORS AND CLIENTS TO MAKE INTELLIGENT AND RESPONSIBLE DECISIONS ABOUT THE DISTRIBUTION OF ALL DONATIONS. THE CLOTHING AND HOUSEHOLD GOODS PROGRAMS ARE SECONDARY BUT STILL VERY IMPORTANT AS A SERVICE TO OUR CLIENTS AND AS A SOURCE OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR THE CENTER. ABOVE ALL, THE CENTER'S PERSONNEL MUST GIVE CONSIDERATION TO THE DIGNITY AND NEEDS OF THE CLIENTS. THE CENTER'S STAFF BELIEVES THAT ASSISTING AN INDIVIDUAL WITH BASIC SURVIVAL NEEDS HELPS TO FOSTOR THEIR ABILITY TO WORK TOWARD A MORE SECURE FUTURE FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR FAMILIES.
