TO ANSWER EMERGENCY CALLS AND TO OPERATE AMBULANCE SERVICES FOR COMMUNITY-AT-LARGE, AND TO KEEP MEMBERS AND OTHERS WELL-TRAINED IN THE PRINCIPLES OF FIRST-AID AS OUTLINED BY THE AMERICAN NATIONAL RED CROSS; TO MAINTAIN AND OPERATE SUCH EQUIPMENT AS MAY BE NECESSARY; AND TO ADVANCE SUCH KNOWLEDGE AS WILL PROMOTE PREVENTION OF INJURY AND SUFFERING.
