THE TROY POLICE AND FIRE BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION WAS FORMED TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL HELP TO THE POOR, DISTRESSED OR UNDERPRIVILEGED, COVERING BOTH PUBLIC SAFETY EMPLOYEE DEPENDENTS AND OTHER MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY, THUS LESSENING THE BURDENS OF GOVERNMENT.
