THE MISSION OF THE TVDA IS TO COLLABORATE AND COORDINATE EFFECTIVELY ACROSS THE PUBLIC, PRIVATE AND SOCIAL SECTORS OF THE COMMUNITY TO ENHANCE THE COMMUNITIES WELL BEING AND SUSTAINABILITY IN THE TWIN VILLAGES OF DAMARISCOTTA AND NEWCASTLE. THE ORGANIZATION SEEKS TO ACCOMPLISH THIS GOAL BY BRINGING TOGETHER ALL OF THE STAKEHOLDERS IN THE COMMUNITY, (THE TOWNS OF DAMARISCOTTA AND NEWCASTLE, THE LOCAL COMMUNITY, EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, LOCAL BUSINESSES AND NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS) TO IMPROVE COMMUNICATION AND SUSTAINED DIVERSE GROWTH WITHIN THE TWO TOWNS. TWIN VILLAGES DOWNTOWN ALLIANCE STRIVES TO INFORM AND EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT CURRENT ACTIVITIES THAT THE TWIN VILLAGES OF DAMARISCOTTA AND NEWCASTLE ARE UNDERTAKING IN AN UNBIASED AND INFORMING MANNER. WE HOST PUBLIC INFORMATION SESSIONS TO CONVENE STAKEHOLDERS FOR VARIOUS DIALOGUES, EMAIL COMMUNITY MEMBERS INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY THE TOWNS TO COORDINATE EFFORTS TO IMPROVE THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE.
