THE GSA IS A STUDENT-RUN, NON-PROFIT GOVERNING BODY THAT PROVIDES RESOURCES FOR STATE UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK AT ALBANY (THE "UNIVERSITY") GRADUATE STUDENTS AND WORKERS. THE GSA ADVOCATES ON THEIR BEHALF AT THE UNIVERSITY, SUNY STUDENT ASSEMBLY, AND COMMUNITY. THE GSA FACILITATES AND ENHANCES THE PROFESSIONAL, ACADEMIC, AND EXTRACURRICULAR EXPERIENCES OF GRADUATE STUDENTS AND WORKERS TO EMPOWER THEM IN THE UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY AND BEYOND. THE GSA ALSO SEEKS TO PROMOTE DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION, SUSTAINABILITY, AND ACADEMIC FREEDOM THROUGH ADVOCACY.
