AS THE REPRESENTATIVE VOICE OF THE UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT BODY OF THE UNIVERSITY OF RHODE ISLAND, THE SENATE SHALL BE OBLIGATED TO DISCUSS ANY MATTERS BROUGHT BEFORE THE SENATE BY A MEMBER OF THE URI COMMUNITY THAT AFFECT SUTDENT DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY AS STUDENTS OR AS CITIZENS. THE SENATE SHALL HAVE POWER TO ESTABLISH, RECOGNIZE AND PROMOTE EDUCATIONAL, SOCIAL AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES FOR THE ENHANCEMENT OF STUDENT LIFE.
