IS A NONPROFIT CORPORATION FOUNDED TO PROVIDE DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF DISORDERS FOR PATIENTS OF RHODE ISLAND HOSPITAL AND OTHERS REQUIRING SURGERY, TO CONDUCT RESEARCH IN THE FIELD OF SURGERY, AND TO TEACH PHYSICIANS, MEDICAL STUDENTS AND OTHER HEALTH CARE PERSONNEL IN THE FIELD OF SURGERY.
