TO MAKE SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTIONS TO AFFORDABLE STUDENT HOUSING AT SAN DIEGO STATE UNIVERSITY AND OTHER COLLEGES IN THE AREA BY OPERATING, MANAGING, AND PROVIDING AFFORDABLE STUDENT HOUSING ADJACENT TO SAN DIEGO STATE UNIVERSITY CAMPUS AND OFFERING STUDENT OUTREACH AND SUPPORT. THE MISSION OF WHSR IS TO EMPOWER QUALIFYING STUDENTS TO ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS THROUGH AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND SUPPORT SERVICES. DURING THE 2024 CALENDAR YEAR, WHSR HOUSED 25 LOW-INCOME STUDENTS AND SERVED 1,604 STUDENTS AT OUR ON-SITE FOOD PANTRY. WE ALSO HELPED 150 ELIGIBLE STUDENTS ACCESS SNAP BENEFITS. DURING THE YEAR, WHSR PROVIDED OVER 2300 HOURS OF ONE-ON-ONE CASE MANAGEMENT. 100% OF STUDENTS TRANSITIONING OUT OF WHSR HOUSING MOVED TO STABLE, PERMANENT HOUSING.
