The mission of the Western Gate Land Development Corporation (WGLDC) is to create jobs in Wayne County, West Virginia and the Tri-State Area of West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky. The accomplishment of this mission will enhance the area business climate, facilitate continued growth of the area, diversify the local economy, expand the tax base an enhance the employment opportunities for area residents, thereby improving the overall standard of living for all citizens.
