AALIYAH IN ACTION INC

Mission

Aaliyah in Action provides women, birthing people, and families with tangible bereavement support in the form of self-care packages and support books after experiencing a perinatal, neonatal, or infant loss. Aaliyah in Action partners with hospitals that are supplied with an inventory of our thoughtfully curated Aaliyah in Action Self-Care Packages and accompanying support books. In addition to hospital distribution, AiA provides shipping nationwide directly to families who request a self-care package. Our program carries support books with a range of topics including miscarriage, stillbirth/infant death, non-birthing partners, a book in Spanish, and a children's book for living siblings. Hospital staff choose which books from our program are most appropriate for the recipient(s). AiA also partners with community organizations that request packages for clients when needed, which is integral in reaching birthing people who experience first-trimester losses.
