THE SPECIAL PENSION TRUST FUND IS FOR THE ACCUMULATION OF RESOURCES TO BE USED FOR RETIREMENT, DEPENDENCY AND DISABILITY ANNUITY PAYMENTS TO ITS MEMBERS, ALEXANDRIA VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS. THE GENERAL FUND IS A GOVERNMENTAL FUND WHICH ACCOUNTS FOR THE RESOURCES OTHER THAN THOSE IN THE SPECIAL PENSION TRUST FUND. IT IS USED FOR THE GOOD AND BENEFIT OF THE ASSOCIATION AS DETERMINED BY ASSOCIATION BY-LAWS. ITS RESOURCES CONSIST OF FUND-RAISER PROCEEDS, DONATIONS, INVESTMENT EARNINGS AND MISCELLANEOUS SOURCES.
